Brazil
Brazil are the most successful nation in the history of the World Cup, with five titles to their name. They are among the favorites to go all the way again this summer and have been gifted a weak group on paper. Their frontline is full of quality, with Vinicius Jr, Neymar, Raphinha, and Matheus Cunha, while the addition of legendary manager Carlo Ancelotti could be a difference maker.
Morocco
Morocco have qualified for their third consecutive World Cup, and will be looking to back up an excellent display in the previous edition of this tournament in 2022, where they were defeated in the semi-final by eventual winners France. Morocco also got to the final of AFCON last year, before losing to Senegal in the final, though following mid-game protests by Senegalese players, Morocco were awarded the victory months after the final.
Haiti
Haiti are one of the teams who have benefitted from the new 48-team format for the World Cup. They have qualified for the tournament just once in the past, back in 1974, as they lost all three group matches. Haiti are favorites to finish bottom of Group C and have very little international form or experience to lean on.
Scotland
It’s the first time since 1998 that Scotland have qualified for the World Cup, ending a streak of six tournaments without making the cut. They have never progressed past the group stage at a World Cup, but the addition of some 3rd placed teams progressing thanks to the new format means Scotland will be hopeful of reaching the knockout stages.
