BC Place is the home of MLS side Vancouver Whitecaps, as well as Canadian Football League team BC Lions, and the annual Canada Sevens tournament (rugby). Estadio Azteca History
Estadio Azteca opened in 1966, and is regarded as one of the most famous stadiums in the world. It is the official home of the Club America soccer team, as well as the Mexico men’s national soccer team. It is the largest stadium in Latin America, and has hosted two World Cup finals; in 1970 and 1986.
It also hosted the 1986 World Cup quarter-final match between Argentina and England, which featured the infamous ‘Hand of God’ goal from Diego Maradona. By being used at the 2026 World Cup, Estadio Azteca is the only stadium to host three editions of the World Cup.

Estadio BBVA opened in 2015, replacing Estadio Tecnologico as the home of the C.F. Monterrey soccer team. The stadium hosted the eighth Eusebio Cup in 2015, where Monterrey defeated Benfica 3-0. Estadio BBVA is located in Guadalupe, in Nuevo Leon, and is commonly referred to as El Gigante de Acero, which translates to ‘The Steel Giant’. It was the most expensive stadium in Mexico at the time of its construction, built at a cost of $200 million.
